Expedition Overview
A safari to Lake Naivasha, Hell’s Gate, and Lake Nakuru starts with an early morning pick-up in Nairobi. Begin with a boat ride on Lake Naivasha to spot hippos and birds, followed by a walking safari on Crescent Island. Next, explore Hell’s Gate by bike or hike through cliffs and geothermal landscapes. Then, you will head to Lake Nakuru for game drives among flamingos, rhinos, and other wildlife. This 2-day adventure offers nature, wildlife, and scenic beauty in Kenya’s Rift Valley.
Daily Itinerary
We pick you up from the airport or hotel and depart for Lake Naivasha, passing by the Rift Valley for a brief stop to view the extensive nature area. We drive down to the floor of the valley, arriving at Hell’s Gate National Park for a 1-hour cycling experience with nature, culminating at the gorge for a hike before cycling back for an hour to the gate. We check in at the hotel and have lunch. After refreshments, we have an evening boat ride on the lake, viewing the sunset, then return for dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.
We have an early breakfast and proceed on a 1-hour drive to Lake Nakuru. The park is famous for black and white rhinos, flamingos, lions and leopards. We have a 4-hour game-viewing drive and enjoy lunch at Nakuru. We then proceed on a 3-hour drive to Nairobi, where the safari ends.
