Daily Itinerary
Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from Nairobi. Drive through the Great Rift Valley, enjoying scenic views and a brief stop for photos. Continue across the countryside, passing farmlands and Maasai villages, before arriving at Masai Mara in time for lunch. After settling in at Miti Mingi Eco Camp, head out on your first thrilling afternoon game drive. The Masai Mara’s rolling savannah is home to elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and numerous antelope species. As the sun sets, return to camp for dinner and overnight, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.
After breakfast, set off for a full-day safari with packed lunch. Spend the day exploring the heart of Masai Mara, renowned for its high concentration of wildlife. Search for the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino – and marvel at cheetahs, hippos, hyenas, and diverse birdlife. During the Great Migration season (July–October), witness dramatic crossings of wildebeest and zebras at the Mara River, an unforgettable spectacle. Enjoy your picnic lunch in the wild before continuing your game drive through different areas of the park. In the evening, return to Miti Mingi Eco Camp for dinner and relaxation around the campfire under the starry African sky.
After breakfast at the camp, you may choose to visit a nearby Maasai community village (optional at an extra cost). This cultural encounter gives you a chance to learn about the Maasai’s traditional lifestyle, dances, customs, and their deep connection to nature and wildlife. Walk through their homesteads, hear stories, and see their vibrant beadwork and crafts. After the village visit, begin your return journey to Nairobi, passing through the Great Rift Valley with scenic views along the way. Arrive in the city by late afternoon, with drop-off at your hotel or the airport. This marks the end of your memorable 3-day Masai Mara budget safari, combining thrilling wildlife adventures with an enriching cultural experience.
